Frank Herfort is a German photographer known for his distinctive vision in architectural, documentary, and industrial photography. After more than a decade in Moscow, he developed a rare and nuanced perspective on the post-Soviet landscape.

His acclaimed books—Imperial Pomp, Russian Fairytales, and CCCP Underground—present powerful, atmospheric imagery that captures both the grandeur and the subtle contradictions of this world. 

Published internationally in leading titles including The New York Times, T Magazine, National Geographic, Zeit, Geo, Stern, Spiegel, and Wallpaper, Herfort’s photography reaches a global audience. His work has been recognized with multiple prestigious awards.
