Metro station Kiyevskaya in Moscow, Russia opened in 1954, and is one of the Moscow Metro’s most richly decorated stations. It features low square pylons faced with white marble, crowned by large mosaics celebrating the historic friendship between Russia and Ukraine. Both the mosaics and the elegant arches between the pylons are framed with elaborate gold-colored ornamentation, creating one of the metro’s most distinctive and lavish interiors.
