Metro station Krasnoselskaya in Moscow, Russia opened in 1935, as one of the original ten stations of the Moscow Metro. Construction began in 1933, and the station has served passengers since the opening of the first metro line on 15 May 1935. Its elegant interior is characterized by columns clad in yellowish-red Crimean marble, giving the station its distinctive warm appearance. Krasnoselskaya remains one of the best-preserved examples of the Moscow Metro’s pioneering architectural style.
