Metro station Marksistskaya in Moscow, Russia opened in 1979. The spiral-shaped light fixtures symbolize “spiral development,” a concept in dialectical materialism, a key principle of Marxist philosophy. Until 1987, it was the deepest station in Moscow, at 60 meters.
