BELORUSSKAYA III, 2021
Metro station Belorusskaya in Moscow, Russia opened in 1938. Decorated with traditional Belarusian motifs throughout its elegant interior. The station features rectangular pylons faced with pink marble, while bronze floor lamps accent the niches between them. One of its most notable artworks is the "Soviet Belorussia" sculpture, originally installed in 1950. After being removed in 1997, it disappeared for more than twenty years before being accidentally rediscovered in a former metro depot. The damaged sculpture was carefully restored and returned to its original location in 2021.
