CHERTANOVSKAYA, 2020
Metro station Chertanovskaya in Moscow, Russia opened in 1983, and was designed by architect Nina Alyoshina, a former assistant to renowned metro architect Alexey Dushkin. Although built during the late Soviet era, the station retains a surprising sense of grandeur with its long rows of marble-clad columns, elegant lighting, and harmonious proportions. Its restrained yet impressive design recalls the timeless architecture of earlier Moscow Metro masterpieces, making Chertanovskaya one of the most distinguished stations from this period.
