Metro station Ploshchad Revolyutsii  ( entrance hall ) in Moscow, Russia opened in 1938, and is one of the city’s most famous and centrally located metro stations, just a short walk from Red Square. Designed by architect Alexey Dushkin, the station is renowned for its 76 life-size bronze sculptures by Matvey Manizer, depicting soldiers, workers, students, and other figures of Soviet life. Red and yellow marble arches, supported by low pylons faced with black Armenian marble, complete one of the Moscow Metro’s most iconic interiors.
