Metro station Prospekt Mira in Moscow, Russia opened in 1952, and is an elegant example of Stalinist architecture inspired by the achievements of Soviet agriculture. The station features graceful white marble arches crowned by ceramic bas-relief friezes with floral motifs. Medallion bas-reliefs throughout the hall depict various aspects of agricultural development in the Soviet Union, creating one of the Circle Line’s most harmonious and richly decorated interiors.
